Watched "The Greatest Treasure" Doing it once in English and again in Spanish seemed very

long winded, and I thought some of the language a bit advanced.

It would be great if you find a comfortable and quiet place and try to repeat the phrases from the video. In this way, your brain will gradually get used to producing the sounds of Spanish. It is not essential that you understand every word in the story, but that you understand the general meaning. Little by little you will understand almost all the content.

Some polyglots recommend looking for content in the target language that you can understand about 70-80% of. 

That input must be on a daily basis to progress quickly.
